Giant Kingfish from the Beach – Epic Fishing Tales #1

Joshua Jorgensen and Benjamin Leahy thought it was going to be an ordinary day of land-based shark fishing. Both of the anglers would never have predicted that they would land a giant kingfish from the beach on a shark bait. The kingfish took off screaming, but when Josh grabbed the rod, he didn’t feel any weight. Josh placed his fishing rod back in the rod holder hoping the fish would come back. 10 minutes later, Josh’s fishing rod starting bouncing. He picked up his fishing rod and still didn’t feel any weight. Josh placed his fishing rod back in the rod holder hoping once again for the fish to come back. Another 10 minutes goes by and Josh’s fishing rod starts bouncing again. Josh decided to bring the line in to check the bait. Suddenly Josh and Ben see this bright blue flash in the water. Ben went down to take a closer look and saw the giant kingfish. He picked it up and started screaming. As soon as Ben picked up the Kingfish, the hook fell out of the fish’s mouth. Josh and Ben estimated the weight of the kingfish to be around 50lbs. It was the largest kingfish both anglers had ever seen caught from the beach, a possible record for the state of Florida.
