Save 25% on Select Osprey Packs Through Labor Day

CAMPING GEAR

For 50 years, Osprey’s been making packs that help hikers and adventurers carry essential gear with more comfort and less hassle. Over that time, the brand has expanded on that know-how by creating more specialized hiking packs and everyday carry bags.

To that end, Osprey continues to pioneer new backpacking technology, which often trickles down to its other packs over time. For instance, you’ll find the brand’s airy backpanels in travel and commuter bags — not just hiking packs. Plus, most of these packs are now made with recycled materials, which is part of Osprey’s commitment to minimize its environmental footprint.

To mark the passing of the seasons, Osprey is throwing a Labor Day Sale to get you outfitted for the fall and winter. We’ve sifted through what’s on tap to find 25% off deals on several popular packs. But you’ll find some past-season items marked down 40%, so be sure to click around to find the best deals. But be sure to hurry — the sale only runs through Labor Day, September 2.

Stratos 36 & Sirrus 44 Hiking Backpacks — Men’s & Women’s: $165 & $172

Stratos 36 & Sirrus 44 Hiking Backpacks

These 36L and 44L packs are built for shorter backpacking trips. They are also small enough to double as dayhiking packs on other days without feeling like overkill. The Stratos and Sirrus packs use Osprey’s ventilated AirSpeed suspension system for airflow on high-output hikes.

These hiking packs use a top-loading design with drawstring closure, internal hydration sleeve, trekking pole attachments, ice axe loops, zippered pockets in front and on the hip belt, and lastly, stretchy side mesh bottle pockets.

In other words, these packs offer similar features to an Osprey backpacking pack, just in a smaller package.

The Stratos packs and women’s-specific Sirrus hiking packs come in capacities ranging from 24L to 44L.

Axis & Flare & Proxima Everyday Commute Packs: $56-$75

Osprey Everyday Commute and Campus Packs

Whether you’re commuting to campus or work, Osprey puts its spin on everyday packs with airy backpanels, compressions straps, water bottle pockets, and bike light straps.

The most streamlined of the bunch is the Axis 24L, which can house most 16-inch laptops. It has dual compression straps, a lined zip pocket for stashing shades, and several zippered and mesh pockets for organizing keys, a phone, and other valuables.

Slightly larger is the 27L Flare, which has an internal laptop sleeve in the main compartment to hold laptops up to 16 inches and plenty of internal storage options.

Whether you’re lugging books or gear for after work, the extra room of the Proxima 30L may fit your storage needs. Again, it has a 16-inch laptop compartment and organization pocket. However, this pack also has the StraightJacket compression found on Osprey’s travel packs, handy for hauling kit around campus or to the gym after work.

Exos 48 & Eja Pro 55 Backpacking Packs — Men’s & Women’s: $180 & $217

Osprey Exos 48 & Eja Pro 55 Hiking Backpacks

Rather than trying to create the lightest packs on the market, Osprey takes a well-informed approach to light and fast with these mid-size ultralight backpacks. The result is a balance of performance and comfort.

That’s one reason you’ll see it has Osprey’s AirSpeed suspension — designed for maximum airflow during fast-and-light missions. Also, the removable floating lid is ready to go on side quests or stay home for a more pared-down approach, and an integrated FlapJacket covers the top of the pack in lidless mode.

Inside, there’s a hydration sleeve with a back-hose port. Outside, the packs have attachments to hold trekking poles and axes, side compression straps, and removable sleeping pad straps. A big stretch mesh pocket on the front makes it easy to stash gear without opening the bag.

Lastly, these packs are made from 100% recycled materials.
