My friend wanted to catch his first tarpon. After losing the first Tarpon, we hooked up to our second Tarpon minutes later. This Tarpon almost spools Mike’s fishing reel, taking over 400yds of line. It was an epic battle that fatigued both Mike and the Tarpon. We used very light drag to prevent the tarpon from spiting the hook.
